The wing of Delta flight 5155 preparing to depart for Roanoke struck the cockpit windows of Delta flight 5047 arriving from Charlotte.

The Collision

Flight 5047’s pilot radioed: “Their right wing clipped our nose and the cockpit wind screens.” The impact shattered cockpit windows.

Pilot’s Report

One flight attendant on flight 5155 injured her knee. She was taken to the hospital. No other passengers were hurt.

Flight 5047 (from Charlotte): 57 passengers

Flight 5155 (to Roanoke): 28 passengers

Energized fAll were safely transported to the terminal by bus.
