What Happened in Uttarkashi?
On August 5, around 2 PM, heavy rainfall led to a devastating cloudburst in Harsil. Waters from the Kheer Ganga river swept away homes and roads.

Just hours after the Harsil cloudburst, Sukhi Top, a tourist area, experienced another cloudburst. Water levels surged rapidly, though no casualties yet.
